Under Armour was established in 1996 by the previous University of Maryland football player Kevin Plank. Under Armor is driven by an enthusiasm for elite clothes – designed to keep competitors cool, dry, and light all through a game, practice, or exercise.

How it all started?

In 1996, 23-year-old Plank came up with a thought conceived on the football field into another industry that changed how athletes dress until the end of time. Back in his playing days, Plank despised changing his moisture absorbing cotton T-shirts again and again during two-a-days.

Board named his new organization Under Armor, and after intensive reserach  on the athletic advantages of manufactured fabrics, he designed the first Under Armor HeatGear T-shirts for men which was designed with moisture wicking execution strands, the shirt helps keep athletes cool, dryand light in the most mercilessly hot conditions.

In 1997, Under Armor presented the most popular ColdGear fabric, which keeps athletes warm, dry, and light in chilly conditions, and afterward the AllSeasonGear line, so that athletes can remain comfortable between the game.

Under Armor authoritatively came up with its ladies’ line, UA Women, in 2003. In 2004, the brand presented range explicitly for young men, Boxerjocks for men and for womenhipsters, thong etc. For male athletes, they have created separated line of lingerie for each sports. For Basketball players, Under Armour has created male Tanks, men’s shorts. For Baseball players, men can find themselves comfortable in men’s shorts. Styles such as mid compression shorts, men’s shorts in pocketed style has been designed to provide comfort and support to Football players.

Under 10 years after its dispatch, Under Armor finished the year with $281 million in income. Speaking about their lingerie collection, they include Boxerjocks for men in various colors and fabrics for common men.
